Starfield Build: Logistician

Logistician

Introduction

The Logistician is Stroud-Eklund's answer to the Small Form Factor Transport Vessel, though Stroud coined the marketing term "Convenience Frame Logistics" to describe their SFFTV line of vessels.

So, a couple of notes about this build. I wanted to do entirely Stroud--Eklund but I needed all of the Landing Gear. I'm a little bit OCD about the Landing Bay NOT having lifting thrusters, so I just decided to swap in an extra Accu-Lander gear and use the Ship Bed 200 Landing Bay instead.

The Habs on the Main Deck are precisely how they need to be so that the All-in-One retains both the Galley and the Restroom. For me, I design role-playing builds so that's important to me. If it is not to you, feel free to swap things around. You can even change the habs to whatever. The build simply requires three 2x1 habs (or equivalent larger habs) on the Main Deck.

Now onto the build. The build is so straightforward that I included both the Lower and Main Deck on one image.

Assembly

Assemble each Deck/Layer as shown in the images above. Drag the Main Deck over to the Lower Deck so that the Stroud Cap A pieces rest directly above the Stroud Cap C pieces. Leave the Fuel Tanks and Cockpit detached from the Upper Deck. Drag the rest of the Upper Deck over to the Main Deck so that the Reactor and Grav Drive rest on top of the Amun-3 Engines.

The Cockpit will have to be drop merged to get it into its place. Once done, place the M30 Ulysses tanks on the side snap points of the bridge. Snap the Shield Generator to the top of the Cockpit. The Connect Pro Docker will snap to the point behind the Shield.

Upgrade Path

For all of their bluster about rounding out their products, Stroud-Eklund just slapped a couple of cheap lasers on the Logistician. Being a Starter Ship, you'll want to upgrade just about everything but those lasers will probably be your starting point.

After that, it's just a matter of leveling up, developing your Pilot and Ship Design skills to improve as many components as needed to make your build work for you

Comments

  1. Pretty damn neat ship, a Stroud design that doesn’t look like a cookie or a sandwich. This whole concept is pretty cool for platforms that give you all you need with ship easily upgradable. Great job.

    1. Hope it gave you something to read in the evening after a hard day of work. Still two more (Nova Galactic and Taiyo) to do.

    2. Did at that. Always a pleasure to see what kind of story/lore you come up with for each design.
